Pandemic
 Veterinarian Sydney Stevens (Alesha Clarke) is in a fight for her life and the lives of millions as she and an eccentric conspiracy theorist (Peter Asle Holden) uncover the horrifying truth about a contagious virus affecting both humans and animals. Director Jason Connery plays a suspenseful game of truth or cover-up by contrasting an Army general's (Ray Wise) noble cause not to panic the locals against clear and present signs that global disaster is looming.

The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack: Vol. 1
 This quirky Cartoon Network comedy chronicles the misadventures of Flapjack, a precocious kid who's flanked by two unlikely sidekicks: a talking whale named Bubbie and a rough-and-tumble pirate named Capt. K'nuckles. The first volume of episodes finds the trio racing a mechanical menace dubbed the "Alpha-Whale," tracking down the world's most valuable candy wrappers and making friends with (gasp!) a monster.

Bleach: Vol. 21: The Bount
 This hit Japanese anime series based on the manga by Tite Kubo follows the adventures of spirit-seeing teen superhero Ichigo Kurosaki as he and his supernatural sidekick, Rukia Kuchiki, round up lost souls. Ichigo first inherits his powers from a wounded Rukia, who is in fact a shinigami, or soul reaper. Forced to live temporarily in an artificial human body, Rukia must combine her otherworldly abilities with Ichigo's. Vol. 21 includes episodes 84-87.

Portrayed outstandingly by Catalina Saavedra, the increasingly resentful Raquel struggles to keep her relationship to the family on an even keel.
